Occasionally after a player has entered or left an island through online communication, a villager may be looking at the sky commenting on the airplane's departure. They don't move unless pushed far enough from their stuck point, and it's likely due to the game thinking that they are sitting and listening to the performance. Villagers walking in or near the plaza may end up staying still for hours on end if K.K. Interestingly it doesn't seem to happen when a player is in a building, but when they re-enter the outdoors, the glitch continues. Players wearing a kimono may experience a glitch where the kimono is in the same position as it would be when wearing a bag, with a blue X lining the back. The player can still play with the player’s friend locally, however. This shows the two islands were not on the same version anymore. At the airport, no island will be found after an online search, even by Dodo code. Then, it becomes impossible to play online with the last player anymore, because the game considers that the first island linked with their Nintendo account is the good one. It cannot be fixed by re-adding them later, because the old island will pop up automatically (it is saved forever). The only “solution” is to remove the player from your Nintendo Switch friend list, but if the player does so, all the “copies” will be removed, even the last one (the one you want). All the islands and characters have the same name. This means in the player’s in-game friend list an infinite amount of copies of their island, without being able to delete anyone by one. But if the player’s friend decides to delete their game data and start over, their old name will be forever saved in the player’s in-game friend list, whether the player added them to the player’s best friends or not. When the player visits a friend’s island or if a friend comes to the player’s island, they will automatically be added to the player’s in-game friend list. The glitch may be caused by pressing the game card slot too hard, or the game card might have dust in its terminals. If it happens again, the game will eventually crash. Sometimes when catching a bug, the sound will mute for a while. You cannot do anything with it, like put it away, add it to your ABD, put it down, etc. Sometimes Bells randomly come inside of your inventory, even though you don't actually have them.
